Dr James Lawson
MBBS, BMedSc(Hons), FRANZCR

Dr James Lawson has worked in diagnostic imaging for over 35 years. A graduate of Monash University in 1970, he also completed an Honours degree in Medical Science. Dr Lawson began his Radiology training at the former Prince Henry's hospital in Melbourne, gaining membership to the FRANZCR in 1976. This training also included rotations through the Alfred and former Queen Victoria Hospitals.

Dr Lawson has experienced over three decades of advancement in diagnostic imaging. After four years as a staff Radiologist at St. Vincents and Alfred hospitals, Dr Lawson moved into a combination of private and public hospital practice, including sessional appointments at Alfred, Peter MacCallum and Queen Victoria Hospitals.

He has recently received acknowledgement of 25 years continuous service with what has now become the Southern Health Care Network and he still continues as a member of the Senior Medical Staff at SHCN. Dr James Lawson has been with MDI Radiology since 2004.
