The first and only MRI service in the Berwick area opened in March 2010. The new service offers care, comfort and convenience at this new, sophisticated MRI facility with the latest technology and dedicated Specialist Radiologist. Ample parking is available on site, and the Siemens Essenza short bore MRI machine allows for greater patient comfort, particularly with the claustrophobic patient, as a large percentage of examinations are able to be performed with the patient’s head outside the magnet.
